The 2021 Season
SWEMBA is prepping for the 2021 season, but these proposed dates are subject to change and are authorized by AHS and Baseball Alberta.
2021 Predicted Schedule
Pre-registration for Rep and House League opens Jan 20.
This year, we've implemented a zero cost pre-registration. Once the season has been finalized and approved, fees will be collected.
Rep Tryouts for 9U elite - 15U AA are currently scheduled for the beginning of March.
House Assessments are scheduled after Spring Break through early May, once fields open.
The Rep Season is set to start May 8. Depending on the scenario, with possible end dates between early August or late August.
The House Season is set to start the first weekend in May and end the last week of June.
Baseball Alberta has designed three scenarios for the 2021 Return to Play season:
1. Cohort play - The cohort limit is set by AHS. With a projected cohort of 50, two to three 10-player teams will stay within their cohort for the entire season.
2. Cohort play with a reset - Cohorts will change after a 10 day isolation period in which only practice will occur.
3. A Full pre-Covid Season.
