This is a developmental and recreational league for players, coaches, and umpires, where having fun, as well as the development of individual player skills and team social skills, are a priority to ensure everyone involved enjoys their baseball experience. Teams consist of 11-14 players which play in and around Zone 6, Edmonton, AB.
Teams play three times during the week; generally with one practice and two games each week. Practice days are at the discretion of the coach. The outdoor season begins the first week of May weather permitting and ends at the end of June with a playoff tournament. The season is completed before the end of the school year.
Location: Greater Edmonton area
This option is for House League PeeWee players with better than average abilities, looking for additional practices, coaching, tournament play and entry into the Provincial A-Level playoffs in July.
Tier One teams will not play in the SWEMBA House league. Instead, Tier One teams will play against similarly skilled teams from other clubs in the Edmonton area in the YEGA league. Games can be on any weekday and travel to the surrounding cities will be required (for example, Devon and Le Duc).
Tier One players will be identified during the Spring evaluation process. Players will be approached and will have the option to accept the invitation to the Tier One team, or play on a House Team. $100 Extra fees will apply if you a selected and accept a tier-one roster spot. This is to cover the extra games and umpire fees.
If moving onto provincial play in July, extra fees will apply.
